Frankfort Fire District, Nicor Hold Natural Gas Safety Event

FRANKFORT, IL — Frankfort Fire Protection District and Nicor Gas have partnered to promote natural gas safety. According to Nicor, it is partnering with fire departments in 52 communities across northern Illinois for its public education program.

The open house in Frankfort will be held Saturday, Oct. 5. at Home Depot, 20101 La Grange Road from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Nicor said volunteers will share important tips and tools to ensure families know what to do in the unlikely event of a natural gas emergency. The booth is interactive, so even the youngest of attendees can learn safety tips.
