Frankfort Fishing Derby Planned For June 24

FRANKFORT, IL — Young anglers can head out to Frankfort's Fishing Derby on June 24 at Prairie Park in downtown Frankfort.

The catch-and-release derby features two ages brackets, from ages 3 to 7 and ages 8 to 12.

The younger kids will fish from 8 to 8:45 a.m., while the older bracket will fish from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m.

You can register for the derby online, and it is $3 per resident and $10 per nonresident. The fee does include a T-shirt, drink, snack, fishing hook and bait, according to the Village website.
