Frankfort Fourth Graders Celebrate Presidents Day
Students studied a variety of presidents from a kid's perspective for their program and then presented it to other students.

FRANKFORT, IL — Fourth graders at Dr. Julian Rogus Elementary School celebrated Presidents Day by learning the perspectives of First Kids at the White House. The school said the students researched and created PowerPoints to present their findings in first person.
Students studied a variety of presidents from a kid’s perspective for their program: My Dad the President, a Living Timeline of White House Kids. The school said students learned how John Quincy Adams had a pet alligator; Susan Ford held her prom in the White House; and Jessie Wilson shared that she held her wedding in the White House and her dad let sheep graze on the White House lawn during WWI to save money.
Students also presented as construction workers, Secret Service agents and several other White House kids.
