Frankfort Man Accused Of Sex Act With Child

The defendant posted his $50,000 bond about four hours after his arrest, jail logs show.

FRANKFORT, IL - The Will County State's Attorney's Office has filed a felony charge of sexual exploitation of a child against a 49-year-old man from Frankfort. Court documents indicate that Kenneth Norling was charged with the sex crime late last week, on Thursday, Feb. 1. The defendant lives in the 20900 block of South 80th Avenue. The Will County Sheriff's Department handled the investigation because the alleged crime occurred in Frankfort Township, the agency said.

According to the criminal complaint, Norling "in the presence of a child with intent or knowledge that a child was under the age of 13 ... engaged in a sexual act, that being sexual contact, in that the defendant placed the hand of ... a minor upon the defendant's penis," the complaint states.

Will County Judge Daniel Kennedy had set a $50,000 bond when a warrant was issued for Norling's arrest. Logs at the Will County Jail show that Norling was booked into custody around 2 p.m. Feb. 1 and released from the jail by 6:30 p.m.
