Frankfort Man Dies From Crash With Amtrak

The Will County Coroner's Office announced details of the fatality on Monday morning.

UNIVERSITY PARK — The Will County Coroner's Office is reporting a fatality of a 77-year-old Frankfort man who was killed on Sunday when his vehicle was hit by an Amtrak train. Authorities said that Richard E. Millette was driving a box truck near the intersection of South Governor's Highway and West University Parkway in University Park when an Amtrak hit his vehicle.

Millette was pronounced dead at the scene around 7:20 p.m. Sunday, July 28. University Park Police are now investigating the events surrounding the train fatality.
