Frankfort Man Facing Felony Forgery Charges: Court Documents

FRANKFORT, IL — A Frankfort man has been charged and indicted on several counts of forgery, involving a concealed carry firearms training certification, the Herald-News reported.

Brenton Payne, 51, of Frankfort was charged on May 7, and a grand jury issued a summons, according documents filed in Will County Court.

The Herald-News reported that Payne issued a false firearms training certification in exchange for $300 in May 2025.
