Frankfort Man Uploaded, Shared Child Pornography: Sheriff
Detectives investigated Cardenas, obtained a search warrant for his home and collected evidence before taking him in for questioning.

FRANKFORT, IL — A Frankfort man has been charged with possession of child pornography and distribution of child pornography after an online tip led to his arrest, the Will County Sheriff's office said. Steven Cardenas, 30, of the 20000 block of South Woodlawn Court, was arrested Feb. 7 and appeared in bond court Saturday, where he received a $50,000 bond.
Police said the sheriff's office received an online tip from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force about someone who was uploading and sharing child pornography. Detectives investigated Cardenas, obtained a search warrant for his home, and collected evidence before his arrest, police said.
According to police, detectives took electronic devices from Cardenas' home and brought him in for questioning. During the interview, Cardenas made incriminating statements, police said.

Cardenas posted bond Saturday and has been released.
