Frankfort Man Wins Forest Preserve District of DuPage County's Hard Water Classic Ice Fishing Tourney

A Frankfort man who caught a 37.5-inch northern pike won the grand prize in Chicagoland's largest ice fishing tournament on Jan. 14.

Matt Wolfe of Frankfort reeled in a 37.5-inch northern pike to win the grand prize at the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County's Hard Water Classic ice fishing tournament on Jan. 14 at Silver Lake at Blackwell Forest Preserve in Warrenville.

Wolfe won an ice shelter and a $125 gift card to a local sporting goods store. An estimated 322 people participated in the competition, which is Chicagoland’s largest ice fishing competition.
