Frankfort Man Wins Forest Preserve Photo Contest
Michael Fagan's photo of five fuzzy ducklings won the photo contest at the Forest Preserve District of Will County in May.

FRANKFORT, IL -- A Frankfort man won the Forest Preserve District of Will County's "Preserve the Moment Photo Contest" for the month of May. Michael Fagan was selected for his photo of five fuzzy ducklings.
Fagan saw a mother wood duck flying near him on the path in Hickory Creek Barrens Nature Preserve in New Lenox then watched as she landed in the grass near her eight or nine ducklings, according to a news release announcing the May and June winners of the contest.
“These five (ducklings) got separated and doubled back toward the path,” Fagan said. “I got the photos right before they turned to head back into the grass.”
