Frankfort Mayor Will Moderate Session At Illinois Municipal League Conference

FRANKFORT, IL — Frankfort Mayor Keith Ogle will moderate a session at the upcoming 110th annual conference for the Illinois Municipal League on Thursday.

Ogle will moderate a session called "Utilizing Tourism Bureaus To Market and Promote Your Events and Attractions."

"Frankfort is thriving and it is a highly desirable location," Ogle told Patch, citing the success of large-scale events like the Frankfort Fall Fest and the Bluegrass Festival.

"I'm really pleased to be a part of this," Ogle said.

The Illinois Municipal League was founded in 1913, and "is the formal voice for Illinois municipalities," according to the league. This year's conference will be held in Chicago from Sept. 21-23, and will include over 2,000 municipal officials.

Ogle said he has been attending the conference since 2013, but this is the first time he is a moderator.
