Frankfort Park District Continues Clean-Up From Storm Damage

Several of the park district parks sustained damaged, and clean-up may take several weeks.

FRANKFORT, IL — Clean-up from storm damage on Monday may take several weeks, the Frankfort Park District shared on its Facebook. The park district said it sustained damage at several of its parks from the storm.

Staff continues to work to clear damaged trees and upright items that were blown over. According to the park district Facebook, the fence was damaged at the tennis courts at Commissioners Park, so the courts are currently closed. The fences were also damaged at the pickleball courts and at the Bark Park.

The park district told Patch there was also damage to several light poles at Main Park, the garbage storage area, as well as roof and pier damage.

The tennis courts at Main Park are still open.
