Frankfort Park District Plans Family Campout
There will be a campfire, outdoor movie, ghost stories, marshmallows and more.
FRANKFORT, IL — If you love camping, the Frankfort Park District will host a Family Fall Campire and Overnight Campout on Friday, Sept. 20. The event will be held at Commissioners Park and will start at 6:30 p.m.
You can choose to just attend the free campfire on Friday night from 6:30 to 8 p.m. At the campfire, you can roast marshmallows, drink hot chocolate, play games and enjoy a hayride.
If you choose to do the overnight campout, it is $39 per campsite and the camping ends at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21. You should also bring your tent and sleeping bags. There will be an outdoor movie with popcorn and a continental breakfast in the morning.

The registration deadline for the event is Sept. 16.
