FRANKFORT, IL — As health restrictions continue to loosen in Illinois, many agencies are restarting their programming and events. In Frankfort, the park district will hold several events in July, including a party in the park, drive-in movie and a senior picnic.

Monday, July 13, 6 to 7:30 p.m., at Lincoln Meadows Park. The free event will include outdoor games, activities, a giant inflatable and more.

Drive-In Movie - "Frozen 2"

Tuesday, July 14, at dusk, at Hickory Creek school, 22150 Owens Road. The parking lot opens at 7:30 p.m. and the movie starts at 8:15 p.m. It is $10 per car, and the event is for residents only. You must pre-register for the event at Founders Community Center, 140 Oak St. All cars will be able to hear the movie through an FM radio station, the station will be announced at the movie previews.

*This event was previously listed as a movie on Briedert Green, but will actually be a drive-in movie event.

Stars and Stripes Senior Picnic

Wednesday, July 22, 12 to 2 p.m., at Founders Community Center, 140 Oak St. The free picnic is for those 55 and older, and you must register by July 16. The event will feature food, desserts, raffles and Bingo.
