Feb. 21

Charlene Vice, 73, of 859 Winter Park Drive in New Lenox was charged with retail theft about 4 p.m. in the 11000 block of Lincoln Highway.

Feb. 23

Alex Williams, 36, of 78 W. 19th St. in Chicago Heights was charged with the improper use or display of registration, driving without insurance and driving while license suspended about 2:30 p.m. in the 22300 block of Center Road.

Two Frankfort teens ran afoul of the law about 9:15 p.m. near the corner of LaPorte Meadows Drive and St. Francis Road. Benjamin Stepuszek, 18, of 20544 Grand Prairie Lane was charged with speeding and driving while license suspended. A 17-year-old girl was charged with possession of cannabis.

Feb. 27

Jose Goldaracena, 24, of 3704 Union Ave. in Steger was charged with driving while using an electronic communication device, driving while license suspended, and driving without insurance.

March 3

Jorge Velasco Merida, 32, of 208 E. 26th St. in Chicago Heights was charged with illegal cell phone use and driving while license suspended about 8:40 a.m. in the 7200 block of Lincoln Highway. Merida was also charged with traffic warrants from Will and Cook counties.
