FRANKFORT, IL — If you're looking for a fun winter activity, the sled hill at Commissioners Park in Frankfort is open. Face masks and social distancing are required at the hill, located at 22108 S. 80th Ave.
Frankfort Park District Superintendent of Recreation Stacy Proper told Patch the hill was constructed in 2004, and it does have lights so people can enjoy the hill in the evening. The lights turn off every night at 9 p.m.
The park district also usually offers ice rinks at Main Park every year, but it is currently not open due to current health mitigations. Proper said the park district continues to evaluate the ice rink opening.
