Frankfort Square Students Raise Funds for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society

Three students were chosen as volunteers for a "Pasta for Pennies" assembly that began a campaign to raise more than $1,500.

FRANKFORT, IL - Students at Frankfort Square School raised more than $1,500 in a recent campaign to aid the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, a non-profit which supports children with cancer.

A "Pasta for Pennies" assembly was recently held at the school to kickoff the campaign, which totaled $1,591.22 in donations from the school. Ms. Cullen's third grade class raised the most of any school unit, bringing in $563.44. They will enjoy a pasta party from Olive Garden for their win.

At the assembly, students Lindsay Lavine, Savana Laas and Matthew Hoppenrath (pictured) were chosen as volunteers.
