Frankfort Teen Charged With 11 Counts Of Possession Of Child Porn: Sheriff

FRANKFORT, IL — An 18-year-old from Frankfort has been charged with possession of child porn after an investigation started last year, according to the Will County Sheriff's Office.

Kameron Hayles, 18, of Frankfort, has been charged with 11 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material (a class 2 felony).

In September 2025, detectives with the Will County Sheriff’s Office reviewed an Internet Crimes Against Children Cybertip, which was reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in May 2025 from Dropbox, the sheriff's office said.

Detectives executed a search warrant to Dropbox and subpoenas to various providers, and identified Hayles as the suspect.

On Feb. 20, detectives executed a search warrant at Hayles' home in Frankfort. Several electronic devices belonging to Hayles were seized, the sheriff's office said.

A forensic review of the devices yielded approximately 1,000 images and one video of child sexual abuse material, according to the sheriff's office.

Hayles was taken into custody without incident at a home in Chicago by the U.S. Marshals Great Lakes Fugitive Task Force on Wednesday, the sheriff's office said.

Hayles was taken to the Will County Adult Detention Facility where he is being held, pending a detention hearing.
