FRANKFORT, IL — Frankfort’s Dancing Marlin has a long history of partnering with local organizations as a way of helping local residents who may be in need of assistance.

Now, residents can do their part in supporting a good cause at an all-you-can-eat breakfast that the Frankfort eatery will be hosting to support a not-for-profit that provides beds to local families who need them.

The Dancing Marlin, located at 20590 S. La Grange Rd., will host the breakfast from 8:30-10:30 a.m. on March 4. The breakfast will include all-you-can-eat scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, French toast, coffee, and tea. Tickets are $30 for adults and $15 for children.

Proceeds will be donated to Sleep In Heavenly Peace, a local not-for-profit that builds beds and then delivers them to needy families throughout the Southland region.

Residents who attend the fundraiser and bring new bedding will also receive a $20 gift certificate for their next visit to the Dancing Marlin. Sheets, pillows and blankets, and comforters are needed by the local non-profit, organizers said.

“It is important for the Dancing Marlin to team up with local organizations to help charities because at one time we were just starting out and it was the community that supported us,” Jessica McHugh, the banquet and events manager at The Dancing Marlin said. “Even through Covid, a tight-knit community like Frankfort helped our restaurant get through those tough times. Also, we of course want to see all the kids’ smiling faces when they get a bed knowing we helped out.”
