Frankfort's Fourth Of July Fireworks Celebrates Nation's 250th Birthday
Main Park opens at 6:30 p.m. on July 4; there will be a DJ, food and fireworks.

FRANKFORT, IL — Celebrate the nation's 250th birthday with the July 4th celebration set for 7 to 9 p.m. on July 4 at Main Park, 400 W. Nebraska St.
The park district shared that the park will open at 6:30 p.m., with music and interactive activities by a DJ beginning at 7 p.m. Concessions will also be available for purchase from Frankfort Baseball and Palermo’s pizza. The evening will conclude with a fireworks show at approximately 9:15 p.m.
The Park District said it will be selling holiday themed Glo-Lites and light-up products at the event.

The fireworks display is sponsored by the Village of Frankfort, Frankfort Firefighters Foundation and Frankfort Firefighters Local 4338.

"The fireworks have long been a tradition in Frankfort, made possible by the generous financial support of these organizations," said Executive Director Gina Hassett.

Parking is available at the Puent Building and Frankfort Village Hall on Nebraska Street at the north end of Main Park, the park district shared. A designated Handicap Parking area is accessible off Locust Street.
Parking lots fill quickly, the park district said.
Parking is permitted in nearby residential areas as allowed by posted signage. Visitors are encouraged to walk into the park when possible.
"This year marks the Nations 250 th Birthday and the annual fireworks show will be synchronized to a patriotic soundtrack," Hassett said. "While the fireworks show is launched from the Main Park, the fireworks can also be enjoyed from outside the park boundaries.”
In the event of inclement weather, updates will be posted on the Park District’s website and social media channels.
