In both robberies at the gas station, police said the offenders entered the store fully covered, and ordered the employees and a customer to the ground by gunpoint. Employees were ordered to the back room while the men stole cash in the register and took cartons of Newport cigarettes and put them into large garbage bags. In some of the robberies, offenders have also stolen customers' wallets.
The vehicles used in recent robberies have been identified as a white Jeep Grand Cherokee or a white Kia Optima, the sheriff's office said. Both vehicles have been observed on video surveillance with the registration plates covered by black garbage bags.
