Gene Savaria Appointed To Frankfort Plan Commission

A longtime Frankfort resident with experience in the finance field will serve out the remainder of the term vacated by Susan Anstett.

FRANKFORT, IL -- A longtime Frankfort resident who's active in the community was appointed to the village's Plan Commission this week. Gene Savaria will complete the term vacated by Susan Anstett after the appointment by Mayor Jim Holland was made official on Monday.

Savaria, who will begin his term immediately and serve until April 30, 2019, has lived in Frankfort with his wife, Jeri and three children for 22 years, according to a news release from the village. He has a finance degree from UIC, works in global risk oversight for Bank of America and is active in the local community as a volunteer for Fall Fest and the building of Fort Frankfort at Commissioners Park.

“The Village received a number of applications from well qualified Frankfort residents," Holland said. "We look forward to Gene’s input on the Plan Commission as we review development projects throughout the year."
