Grand Prairie becomes first out of 1,320 schools in the area

Grand Prairie Elementary School sends out a big “thank you” to all students and families for their continuous support. This year their efforts in cutting, clipping and bringing in Box Tops for Education helped Grand Prairie become first out of 1,320 schools in the area. The program is coordinated by the school’s physical education instructors Rob Siebert, Lori McCurdy and Becky Cleveland.

According to their website, the Box Tops for Education program has helped participating schools earn more than $840 million since the program started in 1996, including more than $53 million last school year alone. They state that more than 80,000 schools right now are using Box Tops earnings to fund much-needed supplies and equipment.
