'Greasy' Chicago Man Caught Stealing Electric Motors From Frankfort Business: Police

The Chicago man appeared "greasy" and was wearing gloves when a patrol officer pulled up, police said.

A police officer reportedly caught a Chicago man in the middle of stealing generators from a Frankfort business.

Edward Dones, 21, was arrested at the Industry Avenue business shortly before 2 a.m. Tuesday.

An officer checking business in the early morning hours heard strange noises and went to investigate, police said. He reportedly found Dones loading electric motors into a pickup truck. There were numerous motors on the ground and in the truck, police said.

Dones appeared greasy and was wearing gloves, police said.

Dones was in the middle of stealing $6,000 worth of motors and planned to sell them for scrap, police said.
