Heating & Cooling Company Hot Under the Collar at Frankfort Woman's Facebook Barb: Lawsuit

A heating and cooling company sued a Frankfort woman for allegedly making Facebook accusations of money-grubbing and dirty-dealing.

S & S Mechanical Services filed the lawsuit against Mary Kay Freitag in Will County court.

In the lawsuit, S & S Mechanical, doing business as ATCO Heating & Cooling, claims Freitag took to Facebook and wrote, "Anyone looking for a good A/C heating company in the area. The best I found was Best Comfort out of New Lenox. Very honest. Atco/S&S are ripoffs and only pad the bill. Very dishonest. Only to make money."

Freitag posted her comments on May 19, the lawsuit said. A printout of a screenshot of the comments allegedly made by Freitag was included as an exhibit in the case file.

The lawsuit claims S & S Mechanical was defamed, cast in a false light and disparaged.
