Hickory Creek Cheer Team Takes Second Place In IESA State

FRANKFORT, IL — The Hickory Creek cheer team took second place in the IESA Class 3A state competition, the District shared.

Hickory Creek competed in two divisions for the first time ever, the District said. The team competed in the Class 3A routine, as well as the Game Day Cheer division.

In the 3A competition, Hickory Creek brought home the state runner-up title, the District said.

According to IESA, Hickory Creek had a score of 95.63. Lemont's Old Quarry took first place with a score of 96.63 and Frankfort's Summit Hill took third with a score of 93.48.

"We are SO proud of the hard work, passion, and spirit shown by these amazing athletes and coaches," the District shared on its Facebook. "Congratulations to Coach Murphy and Coach Mosele!"
