Hickory Creek Eighth Grader Wins Wrestling State Championship

FRANKFORT, IL — Frankfort's Hickory Creek Middle School sent three wrestlers to compete at the IESA Class AA state boys wrestling meet earlier this month at Northern Illinois University.

Eighth grader Kardiais Richardson completed a flawless season (37-0) and won the 126-pound state championship, the District shared.

Eighth grader Dominic Grieco had a strong showing as well, placing fourth in the 90-pound class, the District told Patch.

Eighth grader Hunter Guisinger also advanced to the third round at the state meet, in the 95-pound class.

The team is coached by Dominic Adamo and Vince Adamo.
