Hickory Creek Middle School and FSP support Make-A-Wish effort
Funds raised will benefit local child

Hickory Creek Middle School and the District 157-C Frankfort School Partnership (FSP) organization are teaming together to raise money to grant a wish to a special child through the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Illinois. Make-A-Wish grants wishes to children between the ages of 2 ½ to 18 with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy.
Hickory Creek has adopted a local child from the area and hopes to reach its goal to grant their wish experience. Upon reaching the Adopt-A-Wish Challenge goal, Make-A-Wish will provide the school with an Adopt-A-Wish certificate which will contain information on the child they adopted, the child’s wish choice and their experience when the wish is granted. Grand Prairie Elementary and Chelsea Intermediate Schools are also supporting the challenge.
The community is invited to participate in the Adopt-A-Wish Challenge. The cost of each wish is $5,000 and the goal of the school and FSP team is to raise that amount throughout the 2014-2015 school year. They hope that community members will help them share the power of this wish by donating to the effort. Online donations can be made by visiting www.fsd157c.org, Hickory Creek, Make-A-Wish.
