Hickory Creek Middle School Spring Musical a big success

High School Musical portrayed by Hickory Creek students

Hickory Creek’s version of "High School Musical" was enjoyed by family, friends and community on May 19, 20 and 21. It was presented by the Hickory Creek Middle School Choral Department and was directed by teacher Leslie Walton with Cynthia Corso Heath as the assistant director. This production marked the 21st Hickory Creek Middle School Spring Musical.

The story highlighted two high school sophomores, Troy Bolton and Gabriella Montez, who had to overcome opposition from different high school cliques when they tried out for the lead parts in their high school musical. With Troy coming from the “jocks” and Garrielle being a “braniac” they worked through the peer pressure and inspired their friends to stop putting limits on themselves and come together as a school.
