Hickory Creek Middle School State Track and Field

Congratulations to our state athletes!

Hickory Creek Middle School athletes participated in the Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA) Class AAS State Track and Field Tournament in East Peoria, Illinois. All of the athletes worked hard to qualify for State and performed well on Friday and Saturday.

The school congratulates those who earned medals at the tournament:

John Kruzel - 1st Place Discus (school record 144’ 9”)
Quinton Stringfellow - 4th Place Long Jump (school record 20’ 3”)
Brett Gardner - 4th Place in the mile (school record in the mile 4:52.3) and 5th Place in the 800 (school record 2:14.54)
8th Grade Boys 4x100 - 2nd Place (Quinton Stringfellow, Victor Teodoro, Alex Helmin, Mike Manning) (school record :46.05)
*Mike Manning finished 9th overall in the 100!*
