Hickory Creek Middle School students collect candy for troops
Students put their Halloween candy to good use!

Hickory Creek Middle School again participated in Operation Gratitude’s candy drive. The students collected 528.9 pounds of candy in two days. Working with the Ashland Dental Center, the candy will be combined with other donations and sent to the Operation Gratitude program.
Operation Gratitude annually sends 200,000+ care packages filled with food, entertainment, hygiene, and handmade items, plus personal letters of appreciation to veterans, first responders, new recruits, wounded heroes, their caregivers, and to individually named U.S. service members deployed overseas and their families waiting at home. Information about the program can be found at http://www.operationgratitude.com
