Hickory Creek's Seventh Grade Girls Volleyball Team Wins State Championship

The team captured its third straight state championship.

FRANKFORT, IL — Hickory Creek Middle School's seventh grade girls volleyball team captured its third straight state championship at the 2026 seventh grade Class 4A state tournament.

Hickory Creek defeated Morton Junior High School in the first round, Taylorville Junior High School in the semi-finals, and Arlington Heights' Thomas Middle School in the state championship, according to IESA. Frankfort won 25-18, 25-19, in the state championship.

District 157-C said the team finished with a perfect season.

"This marks the third straight state championship under Coach [Katie] Roberts, and extends the seventh grade program’s incredible winning streak to 70 consecutive matches," the District shared on its Facebook.
