House Fire Brought Under Control In 15 Minutes: Fire District
No residents or firefighters were injured in a fire reported Monday in Frankfort.
FRANKFORT, IL — A house fire was reported Monday in the 300 block of East Nebraska Street in Frankfort, the Frankfort Fire Protection District said. Firefighters arrived at 10:27 a.m. to the house and saw smoke coming from the roof, as well as flames from a rear window.
An interior fire attack was performed, the fire district said, and the fire was brought under control in 15 minutes. Companies remained on the scene for another hour and a half to perform salvage and overhaul, begin the fire investigation, and to assist the resident.
No residents or firefighters were injured in the incident, the district said.

The district received aid from the Mokena, New Lenox, Homer, Monee, East Joliet and Manhattan fire districts. Aid was also provided by the Tinley Park and University Park fire departments.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
