Illinois Gaming Board To Consider New Matteson Casino Location

The village of Matteson filed an amendment to its casino plan in December, after local leaders and residents opposed the original location.

FRANKFORT, IL — The Illinois Gaming Board has published its agenda for its Jan. 30 meeting and will discuss the location change for the proposed casino in Matteson. The village of Matteson filed the amendment to its casino plan in December, after local leaders and residents opposed the original location near Harlem and Route 30.

The original casino location met opposition due to its proximity to residential neighborhoods and schools in Frankfort.

The new proposed location is at 208 Lincoln Mall Drive, which is the former site of Lincoln Mall.
