FRANKFORT, IL — Indian Trail School students haved raised over $5,100 to support the American Heart Association's annual "Heart Hero" fundraiser. The school has been participating in this fundraiser for 15 years.
“Participating in the Kids Heart Challenge promotes health awareness and gives our students the opportunity to learn about the importance of physical activity and making healthy lifestyle choices while helping others,” Diane Dankovich, Indian Trail’s school nurse, said in a release.
To support the annual campaign, physical education teachers Fred Jacobi and Megan Shea challenged Indian Trail students to master new skills like the twister, wing ding and the popular fling.
