FRANKFORT, IL — The Frankfort Fire Protection District will hold a Junior Firefighter Academy for kids ages 5-10, featuring giveaways, activities, a hose challenge, truck tours and more.
Kids can attend one day of the academy, on July 28, 29 or 30, according to the fire district. Academy will run from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Station 71, 333 W. Nebraska St. It is $20 per child.
Fire Chief Paul Kinsella said this isn't the first year the Fire District has offered the kids academy, but it's the first time in about 10-12 years.
