Kansas Street Closure Extended To Halloween For Outdoor Dining

The closure is on Kansas Street, between Ash and Oak.

FRANKFORT, IL — Kansas Street, between Ash and Oak streets, will be closed until Oct. 31 for outdoor dining, Mayor Keith Ogle said during Tuesday's Village Board meeting.

Kansas Street has been closed since the start of summer to allow for additional outdoor seating at local restaurants. It was set to reopen after Frankfort Fall Fest, but the closure has now been extended until Halloween.

"Kansas Street will be closed again in that section for the restaurants, so that outdoor dining can take place again," Ogle said. "It was very popular, and we're looking forward to that and just a wonderful fall season."
