Last Garage Book Sale Of 2023 Planned By Friends Of The Frankfort Library

FRANKFORT, IL — The Friends of the Frankfort Library will hold their final garage book sale of the year on Oct. 14.
The sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 14 at the library, 21119 S. Pfeiffer Road.
Friends of the Frankfort Library President Mary Lynne Paris said the organization is taking donations for the sale.

"Volunteers will be accepting book/CD/DVD donations on Tuesdays and Fridays from 9 to 11 a.m. at the library's garage entrance," Paris said. "The garage door will be open to accept the donations outside and can help unload cars if needed."
Paris said multiple boxes and bags are welcome, but they will not accept old textbooks, magazines, encyclopedias or VHS tapes.

"We wish to offer shoppers a full array of materials, especially books, for all age groups on a variety of topics," she said.
The Friends group holds big, one-day sales on the second Saturday of each month during the summer, up until October.
The event is free, attendees can fill a bag and make a donation. At the sale, there is a large selection of books for all ages, including fiction and nonfiction, as well as CDs, DVDs and children's books.
Proceeds from the events are used to help fund the Frankfort Library's programs, events, materials and technology.
The Friends of the Frankfort Library is an independent nonprofit that provides community support for the library.
