The students, ages 3-6 years of age, at Montessori of Frankfort were immersed in a hands-on lesson about democracy. After hearing arguments on which cookie was a better choice, (Oreo or Chips Ahoy) the young voters were sent to pick up their voter cards and voting ballots. Each student then headed over to the polling booths to vote for their favorite cookie. With pride and smiles on their faces, each child deposited their ballot at the ballot box station. After all votes were in, the results were tallied and Oreo’s are the winner!! Concluding the election, the representatives for Oreo and Chips Ahoy shook hands and enjoyed a cookie!!
