Lincoln-Way AFJROTC Academic Bowl Teams Compete At Nationals

Both teams did well in the competition, with the Lincoln-Way Central/West team taking fourth place in the Air Force division.

FRANKFORT, IL — Cadets from the Lincoln-Way East and Lincoln-Way Central/West AFJROTC Academic Bowl teams competed at the championships in Washington, DC last week, the district said in a release.

Only 280 cadets were finalists from over 125,000 competitors to make it to the JROTC leadership and academic bowl nationals, the District said.

Both teams did well in the competition, with the Lincoln-Way Central/West team taking fourth place in the Air Force division, according to the District.

The championship was on the campus of The Catholic University of America. Only 16 AFJROTC Academic Bowl teams in the country advanced to the final competition.

Cadets advanced to the competition after intense phases of online competition earlier this year, according to the District.
