Lincoln-Way East Associate Principal Resigns After DUI Arrest
Lincoln-Way East Associate Principal Alexander Petrakis' resignation was effective Jan. 15.

FRANKFORT, IL — Lincoln-Way East Associate Principal Alexander Petrakis has resigned after a DUI charge in November. According to board documents from the Jan. 16 meeting of the Lincoln-Way board of education, Petrakis' resignation was effective Jan. 15.
Lincoln-Way District 210 did not respond for comment.
According to the Will County Circuit Court website, Petrakis will appear at the courthouse Jan. 27 for a pretrial hearing on the DUI charges. Petrakis is also facing speeding (15-2o mph over the limit) and improper lane use charges. The next court date for those charges is also Jan. 27.

According to the police report from the Lockport Police Department, Petrakis was arrested at 9:44 p.m. Nov. 23 at State and Second streets in Lockport. Police reports state Petrakis crossed over the middle dotted lane line and was going 51 mph in a 35 mph zone.
