Lincoln-Way East Athletic Boosters Offer $1,000 Scholarships

FRANKFORT, IL — The Lincoln-Way East Athletic Boosters is offering multiple $1,000 scholarships to Lincoln-Way East senior student-athletes.

Seniors must be a student-athlete to receive the scholarship, and a member of an athletic team for the entire season of the student's senior year, according to the Boosters.

The $1,000 scholarships are an increase from last year, when the Boosters gave $500 scholarships. The exact number of scholarships given out is to be determined.

"We were able to increase the amount due to the incredible support shown to the Lincoln-Way East Athletic Boosters," the Boosters said. "When anyone purchased a sweatshirt, ordered a graduation sign, or stopped by one of our many pop-up shops, every single purchase made a difference so that we could increase our scholarship amounts."

Students can apply for the scholarships on their Schoolinks account. Applications are due by 12 p.m. on March 5.
