FRANKFORT, IL — The Lincoln-Way East junior varsity and varsity competitive dance teams celebrated historic seasons earlier this winter. Both teams were conference champions for the first time in Lincoln-Way East History, Jen Vujosevic, Director of Community Relations, told Patch.

Not only did they celebrate wins at the conference level, but the varsity dance team also competed at the state finals in January.

“This was a record setting year for our dance program. They won the Southwest Suburban Conference Champions and competed in the IHSA State Finals on day two for the first time in history," Mark Vander Kooi, athletic director at East, said. "And they earned it. These ladies worked extremely hard for these results. We are very proud of them!”
