Lincoln-Way East Grad Runs For Team USA

FRANKFORT, IL -- Aaliyah Brown, a 2013 Lincoln-Way East High School graduate, is competing for Team USA. Brown was selected for the team after a stellar collegiate career at Texas A&M.

“Competing for Team USA means everything to me. I have been trying out for teams since I was in 8th grade and making the USA team is a huge accomplishment and one of my proudest moments,” said Brown in a news release circulated by Lincoln-Way Community High School District 210.

Brown said competing at LWE taught her how to be "a great athlete as well as a great person."

"It taught me to be a well-rounded individual all around, which is very important as a track athlete,” she said.
