FRANKFORT, IL — All three Lincoln-Way High Schools, including Lincoln-Way East, received a 2022 Annual Summative Designation of "exemplary" from the Illinois State Board of Education.

The district said this designation indicates that a school is in the highest performing 10 percent of schools in the state.

This year’s report card shows a District graduation rate of 96 percent, as well as an improvement in ninth grade students on track with their coursework from 94 percent to 96 percent. Additionally, 40 percent of Lincoln-Way students are participating in Early College Coursework, which includes both AP and dual credit courses, the district said.

The district said the report card also showed that SAT scores in math improved from 44 percent to 56 percent of students meeting or exceeding the state benchmarks, and 50 percent are meeting benchmarks in Evidence-Based Reading and Writing.

“The District’s 2022 report card is a direct reflection of the hard work and effort put forth by our students, teachers and administrators over the past year. The exemplary designation for all three schools accurately reflects the culture of academic excellence that we strive for here at Lincoln-Way,” Superintendent Scott Tingley said in a release.
