Lincoln-Way East Recognizes National Merit Commended Students, Semifinalists
Students are recognized based on their scores on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
FRANKFORT, IL — Several Lincoln-Way East students have been recognized as National Merit commended students, in addition to two National Merit Scholarship semifinalists, according to a release from the school district.
The National Merit Scholarship program was established in 1955, and identifies and honors high school students who have demonstrated academic prowess by achieving remarkable scores on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test, according to the District.
These students are then recognized as National Merit Scholarship Commended Students or Semifinalists.

Two Lincoln-Way East students, Riley Drzewiecki and James Legno, have been recognized as semifinalists for this year's program.
