Lincoln-Way East Student Council Collects Over 1,000 Pounds Of Food During Food Drive
The student council food drive was hosted during a Lincoln-Way East home football game.

FRANKFORT, IL — The Lincoln-Way East Student Council recently collected over 1,000 pounds of food to donate to the Frankfort Food Pantry.
Student Council President Samuel Vondrak said the food drive was hosted during a home football game.
Samuel said that students could bring in three non-perishable food items to receive free admission to the football game. Many students went above and beyond, and donated five or more items.

"We were incredibly proud of the generosity and participation from our students, and it was exciting to see everyone come together to support such an important cause," Samuel told Patch. "We hope to continue the food drive in the future and make it an annual event."
