FRANKFORT, IL - A senior at Lincoln-Way East High School has been selected to be a member of the 2018 U.S. Army All-American Marching Band. Kendal Pitlik will be one of just 125 high school senior marching band musicians to perform as a part of the band during the halftime show at the U.S. Army All American Bowl in San Antonio, Texas on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018. Pitlik was officially inducted to the band earlier this month during a celebration at the Lincoln-Way East Griffin's Lair.
Pitlik gave a speech during the ceremony at the school, where she thanked her family, friends, music instructors and teachers for helping her reach the success.
"Kendal has been an exceptional member of our program, we are so proud of her accomplishment," Lincoln-Way Music Department Chairman Dr. Bert Johnson said.
