Lincoln-Way East Teacher To Be Featured On “The Dave Ramsey Show”
Personal Finance teacher Jason Pearson will appear on the show April 20 to discuss what his students are doing in and out of the classroom.
FRANKFORT, IL — A Lincoln-Way East teacher will be a live guest on the nation’s third largest radio show on April 20, the district said. Personal Finance teacher Jason Pearson will share some of the amazing things his students are doing both in and out of the classroom on “The Dave Ramsey Show.”
“I am one of the eldest teachers in the country in regards to his [Dave Ramsey] curriculum, Foundation in Personal Finance,” said Pearson. “Personal Finance as a standalone class, in the scope of education, is relatively new. I have been teaching it for 12 years, and nearly 2,000 students have enrolled in the class. More than 180 Lincoln- Way East students are enrolled in the class this year, and we have 340 enrolled for the 2020-2021 school year.”
According to the district, Pearson will speak about how Lincoln-Way has made Personal Finance a
graduation requirement option and share stories of how his students have already taken this information and started to make smarter financial decisions.

Pearson will be live on the show from 1:15 to 1:30 p.m. April 20.
