Local Frankfort Couple Seeks Two Offices in April Consolidated Election

Husband and wife team, Brian Skibinski and Erin Skibinski of Frankfort are both on the Consolidated Election ballot

Husband and wife team, Brian Skibinski and Erin Skibinski of Frankfort are both on the Consolidated Election ballot for the consolidated election April 7, 2015.

Brian Skibinski, a Chief Information Officer with more than 14 years of service in education and technology background is seeking a spot on the Frankfort CCSD 157C School Board. With three young children two of whom are enrolled at Grand Prairie Elementary and one to begin in the Fall of 2016, Brian is invested in this district as a parent, and taxpayer for many years to come. He hopes his years of experience in education and technology can help bring a perspective to the Frankfort CCSD 157C Board of Education that will help to put children first, help inform parents and other board members, and keep taxpayers interests in mind.

Erin Skibinski, a writer and stay and home mom, has been serving on the special committee to the Frankfort Public Library Board of Trustees since August of 2014, and hopes that with her unique background she has a lot to offer the Frankfort Library Board. Erin has worked in the non-profit sector, education, and public relations, and now writing and social media. She believes this will help the Frankfort Public Library Board of Trustees oversee the already excellent programming, resources, and opportunities it offers the community, and help make the Frankfort Public Library a premier library of the southwest suburbs.

Brian and Erin moved their family to Frankfort four years ago, and were drawn by the vibrant community, excellent schools, outstanding resources, and village sponsored events. Brian and Erin Skibinski both believe, “Villages and towns are only as strong as the public services they provide to its citizens.” They are hoping with their experience, skill sets, and love of community to help keep Frankfort public services strong and vital in a fiscally responsible way.

They are excited for this chance to become involved using their skill sets and hope this is the beginning of a long career of volunteering in their community.
