The Village is currently working with the applicant regarding the appropriate plan commission hearings, permits and applications.

Paul Glantz, CEO, opened the doors of the first Emagine location in 1997 as the first all-stadium seating theatre in the state of Michigan.

The 75,000-square-foot Frankfort location will house 10 screens and about 1,300 powered reclining chairs. The location will feature Emagine’s “E-max” premium large format auditorium, reserved seating, and enhanced premium food and beverage offerings.

The project is scheduled to be submitted for plan commission review and public hearing on Feb. 25 and Village Board review in March, 2016. Construction is contemplated to begin in the spring, 2016 with an estimated completion in late Fall/early Winter, 2016.

Glantz, in noting his enthusiasm for the location, noted “we are thrilled to be on the cusp of serving a wonderful municipality like the Village of Frankfort. We intend to be a vibrant and contributing member of the community.”

Ever since Dominick’s went out of business in December 2013, the village has been trying to lure a business to the large vacant building.

“Since the closing of Dominick’s, the Village has worked diligently to secure a high quality business for this property. Emagine Entertainment provides that community fit for this prime location,” said Mayor Jim Holland.
